Samsung is experimenting with the location of the front camera
Smartphone manufacturers are fighting to ensure that the entire front panel is occupied by the display. A number of problems hinder the achievement of the goal: it is necessary to decide where to put the earpiece, front camera, light sensor and other sensors.
Perhaps the most painful question is the location of the selfie camera. Absolutely abandoning it is not an option, because users are already used to the ability to take selfies. The most inventive sent the front in a retractable unit, and most beat the notches in the displays under the lens.
Among those who “drill holes” in the screen, Samsung was also noticed. It seems that the company will continue to do so, but will try to make the hole as neat and invisible as possible. And for this, the frontal will be moved closer to the left corner of the display. This is indicated by a patent that was issued by the company.
A number of sources claim that this solution with a selfie camera will be implemented and a smartphone with such a front-end will be released soon enough. Rumor has it that the technology for placing the camera under the display surface is still imperfect and it is unlikely that Samsung will offer it in its devices next year.
