Oppo is experimenting with smartphones-sliders and a side pull-out frontal
Oppo is among those companies that go along the path of maximum framelessness and, in the case of Find X, solved the problem of placing the front camera by introducing a slider mechanism. All cameras were hidden inside the case and access to them is opened by moving the front panel down.
The very idea of sliders, like greetings from the 2000s, did not really take root in the market and many chose to improvise with cutouts and “bangs” in the screens, as well as pull-out modules. But it seems that Oppo itself has not abandoned the idea of a smartphone slider and is looking for ways to beat such a solution in an original way.
A patent appeared on the network that Oppo received. The sketches show a different design of the edges of the extension. In the understanding of designers and engineers, you can offer an original zigzag or wavy pattern, create a “gap” in the form of a triangle, a semicircle, or offer an inclined straight line.
There is even a variant of the periscope module, but it is not on the upper side, but on the right side and leaves to the side. All the proposed models imply the presence of a main dual camera and LED flash in the center of the upper back or in the upper left corner.
