Xiaomi is India's online market leader
This week it became known that Xiaomi continues to lead in online smartphone sales in India. With such success, the company finished the second quarter of this year and it accounts for 46% of all mobile devices sold on the Internet. Counterpoint analysts came to this conclusion by analyzing this one of the fastest growing markets in the world.
True, despite the fact that Xiaomi continues to occupy the first line of the rating, its share decreased by 9% compared to the same period last year. The fall is due to the aggressive strategy of competitors, who also do not mind increasing their own army of users in India.
Realme, which managed to increase its share over the year from 4% to 17%, shows the largest increase. Sells more through online stores and Samsung. Now it controls 11% of the online sales market, whereas a year earlier this indicator was 9%.
Huawei's sales statistics are not in favor: 4% of devices sold on the Internet versus 10% sold by mobile phones for the same period in 2018.
The best-selling smartphone in the second quarter of this year was Redmi Note 7 Pro. Xiaomi Redmi 6A was the second most popular and closes the three Realme C2. On the fourth and fifth line were Realme 3 and Redmi Note 7.
