Vivo NEX 3 will set a record for "frameless"
At last year’s MWC 2018, Vivo introduced the concept of the Apex thin-frame smartphone, which was a delight: minimal frames and no cutouts. The actual implementation of the NEX concept has not already provoked such a stormy reaction among experts and users. The company itself, meanwhile, did not abandon the idea of creating a full-screen smartphone.
Vivo NEX 3 will now claim the title of “most frameless”, the announcement of which will take place on September 16. Warming up interest in the new product, product manager Li Xiang said that the smartphone display will occupy 99.6% of the front panel and at the moment this is an absolute record.
The company used the traditional method to calculate this indicator. According to Li Xiang, even if we take alternative calculation methods as a basis, the NEX 3 screen will still remain a champion in terms of the ratio of the screen to the front surface.
Moreover, he said that competitors are far from their creation. In the next six months, nothing threatens their leadership on this indicator.
According to earlier information, the Vivo NEX 3 will offer a 6.89-inch AMOLED display, the flagship Snapdragon 855 Plus chip, up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of constant memory. The device’s asset will be a battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh, a retractable 16 megapixel selfie camera, a triple rear module 64 MP + 13 MP + 13 MP, fast 44-watt charging and Android 9.0 Pie OS with a proprietary shell.
