Upgrading to Android 10 did not work on all OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro smartphones
OnePlus was among the first to complete testing of its proprietary shell based on Android 10 for its current flagships. Almost two weeks ago, the company began distributing a stable build of OxygenOS 10 based on the tenth version of the Google operating system to its flagship OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro.
During the firmware release, the company warned that it would take some time to deploy the update, and it would be phased in, covering more devices. But it seems that the deployment has dragged on.
In recent days, there have been complaints from users on the Reddit forum that their smartphones have never received an update. There is reason to believe that the company has stopped distributing the update. OnePlus does not give any official comments on this matter.
Assume that the manufacturer decided to roll out the deployment of Android 10, makes the fact that the network had user complaints about the errors that are in the update. Although there are those who claim that the update worked properly and there were no complaints. We hope that soon OnePlus will clarify the situation with the upgrade of OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro to Android 10.
It is already known that at the end of October the company will release a public beta version based on Android 10 for OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T, and a stable assembly will be released at the end of November. As for the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T, they should get an update to Android 10 in the second quarter of next year.
But all this is true only for the Chinese HydrogenOS firmware. The global version of OxygenOS on Android 10 for the above smartphones should appear a little later than the release time of the Chinese version of the firmware.
