LG G8X ThinQ Images: Drop-Cut and Display Scanner
The mobile division of LG is not going through its best times, but the company does not intend to give up and continues to release new smartphones. At the IFA 2019 may be premiered LG V60 ThinQ 5G. But it is possible that the manufacturer will bring to Berlin an improved version of the LG G8 ThinQ – G8X ThinQ.
Leak provider Steve Hemmerstofer, who is better known by the nickname @OnLeaks, has posted the LG G8X TninQ CAD render to the network. It seems that the new product has taken the path of reducing the "monobrow" to a small drop-shaped cutout under the front. This notch design may indicate that Air Motion features for contactless control are not offered.
Another important detail is the speaker grill, located on the edge of the aluminum frame and, perhaps, they abandoned Crystal Sound technology when the sound is generated by an OLED matrix.
On the back of the LG G8X ThinQ is a dual main camera and LED flash. There is no fingerprint scanner and it was obviously decided this time to send it under the display. The dimensions of the new case were 159.3×75.8×8.5 mm and the front panel is given for a 6.35-inch display.
At the bottom there is a USB Type-C port and we note separately the fact that LG did not begin to remove the 3.5 mm headphone jack.
According to preliminary information, the LG G8X ThinQ will offer the SoC Snapdragon 855 Plus, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and Android 9.0 Pie OS with a promising update to Android Q, but most likely next year.
