Introduced Xiaomi CC9 Pro with Pentacamera, NFC and a capacious battery
Xiaomi remains true to itself and today's debutant CC9 Pro looks especially ambitious. If you wanted to get a real maximalist in the middle segment, then such a smartphone appeared today and its name is Xiaomi CC9 Pro. By and large, the company did nothing of the kind. She only again proposed a smartphone that crushes competitors with its characteristics for a small price tag.
Outwardly, it turned out pretty nice and elegant, but at the same time a regular, modern and large smartphone. In its beauty, this is by no means a masterpiece, but it is definitely impossible to call the novelty ugly. The housing is dominated by glass and we have a slippery apparatus.
The “face” of the smartphone, let's say, is “not the flagship”. And all because the hackneyed reception with a drop is used here. Although in an attempt to give the device elegance and a touch of premium, the side edges slightly curved, but not as radically as in the Vivo NEX 3. In general, we have borrowed the idea of a rounded matrix in the manner of the Galaxy Edge.
A set of functional elements is extremely traditional for modern Xiaomi smartphones: two keys on the right side, an infrared port and a microphone on the upper end, an audio jack and USB Type-C on the lower side.
And only the presence of a fingerprint display scanner still sets the smartphone apart from other fraternities. The company promises that the sensor here is really good – it works smartly and without failures, and it is also ultra-thin.
This season, AMOLED and Xiaomi CC9 Pro are no exception. The matrix with a diagonal of 6.47 inches with a noticeable chin and its resolution was FullHD + (2340 × 1080 pixels). In terms of filling – the most powerful offer in its price segment. Offered a gaming Snapdragon 730G in tandem with 6/8 GB of RAM.
This is quite a productive bundle that will allow the smartphone to cope very well with any complex tasks. According to non-volatile memory, Xiaomi CC9 Pro has two options: 128 GB or 256 GB.
What do we see on the back of the smartphone? We see how Xiaomi engineers send greetings to HMD Global engineers with their Nokia 9 PureView regarding the number of cameras. There is also a scattering of five chambers, but they were strictly lined up vertically, and did not "weave" a web out of them. We leave the design to everyone’s judgment, it’s much more interesting which sensors were put into Xiaomi CC9 Pro.
The company decided that the 64 megapixel module is yesterday, and the 48 megapixel sensor is completely archaism. She went further and installed a sensor with an absurdly high resolution of 108 megapixels from Samsung as the main one. The 20 megapixel module is responsible for the ultra-wide shooting angle, while the macro mode is 2 megapixel. All this stuff is complemented by a 5 megapixel telephoto lens and a 12 megapixel portrait module.
How all this is friendly with each other, photographs and shoots videos, it is necessary to check in practice. Naturally, during the presentation, the company praised the camera, especially it praised the shooting of video and the quality of photos in the dark. The camera has already gone through the "crucible" of the DxOMark test, having received an average score of 121, becoming at the top of the rating along with the Huawei Mate 30 Pro.
This is the best indicator among all Xiaomi smartphones, and she congratulated herself and her fans on the fact that now the company managed to enter the top league of camera phones, becoming on a par with Apple, Samsung and Huawei smartphones. And, of course, we did not forget here about the front-end and it is based on the 32 megapixel module.
Xiaomi CC9 Pro installed a very capacious battery, judging that for a smartphone with a large display and a game processor, you need something more than the usual 4000 mAh. It uses a 5260 mAh power source and the smartphone has everything to be called hardy and long-lived.
By itself, a bunch of capacious battery and an 8nm Snapdragon 730G chip should demonstrate its best side in terms of energy consumption. Add the AMOLED display here, and in theory we have decent autonomy. A USB Type-C connector is used for charging, 30W fast charging is supported. It will take 65 minutes to fully recharge the battery from 0 to 100%.
Among other useful things, we note Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS and a Hi-Res Audio certificate.
In China, Xiaomi CC9 Pro will go on sale for $ 400 for the 6/128 GB version, and its top-end and exclusive 8/256 GB version will cost $ 499. There is also an “average” variation from 8/128 GB at a price of $ 442.
