Introduced Sony Xperia 8 with dual camera and cinematic screen
Today, Sony introduced the Xperia 8 smartphone in its homeland. From the point of view of the exterior, the new product follows the features of the Xperia 10, which was presented in February at MWC 2019. But in terms of the technical component, the model turned out to be simpler.
The novelty is running the Android 9 Pie operating system with the proprietary Xperia UI shell. The dimensions of the device were 158x59x8.1 mm and weight 170 grams. Front and rear, the smartphone is covered with glass panels, and also received an IPX5 / IPX8 protection class.
Equipped Xperia 8 with a 6-inch display with a resolution of 2520×1080 pixels with an aspect ratio of 21: 9. The front-facing camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels with aperture of f / 2.0, and a dual lens with sensors of 12 megapixels (f1.8) + 8 megapixels (f / 2.4) is installed on the rear panel.
At the heart of the smartphone is the 8-core single-chip Snapdragon 630 system with 4 GB of RAM and a flash drive with a capacity of 64 GB. I got a Sony Xperia 8 fingerprint scanner on the side, a USB Type-C port, a 2760 mAh battery, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, support for Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, Hi-Fi Res Audio and LDAC.
There are four color options to choose from: black, white, blue and orange. The price tag on the smartphone was set high – $ 505.
