Introduced Redmi 8A Dual and Two Redmi Portable Batteries
Today in India, Redmi hosted the MorePowerToRedmi event, in which it showed its latest products. There were predictions that Redmi 9A debut will take place today, but this did not happen. And the premiere of Redmi 8A Dual happened, as an indicator that the company produces a zoo of almost the same devices with minimal differences.
The main difference between the Dual-version and the usual one is the main camera. If Redmi 8A has a single 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor, then Redmi 8A Dual received two 13MP + 2MP sensors. And the company decided to play with colors, offering a choice of three colors: white, blue and gray. The back cover is textured and has a water-repellent P2i coating.
The Redmi 8A Dual is equipped with a 6.22-inch HD + screen, an octa-core Snapdragon 439 chip, 2/3 GB of RAM and a 32 GB flash drive. In the arsenal of the device is a front-facing camera of 8 megapixels, a battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, a USB Type-C port and support for fast 18-watt charging is implemented. But the kit comes with a 10 W charger and the smartphone lacks a fingerprint scanner.
The device is running MIUI 11 based on Android 9.0 Pie. It will go on sale on February 18 at a price of $ 91 for a 2/32 GB version and $ 98 for a modification with 3/32 GB of memory.
Among today's debutants were two portable Redmi batteries with a capacity of 10,000 mAh and 20,000 mAh. Both are enclosed in a polycarbonate case, there are two USB-A ports, microUSB and USB-C connectors. The 10,000 mAh version supports 10 W charging, while the older brother is able to charge devices at 18 W. They rated the news at $ 11 and $ 21 respectively.
