Google wants its gesture control system to become a priority, and analogues should be hidden deep
Despite the fact that the gesture control system in Android 10 caused an extremely mixed reaction among users, this does not prevent Google from making it the standard for Android smartphones.
9to5google reporters managed to find out that the Internet giant wants to force OEMs to hide their own alternative gesture navigation in the firmware, and to activate it, you will have to dig deep into the settings to find the appropriate options.
The source claims that future devices based on Android 10 should offer three classic navigation buttons or the new gestural navigation bar developed by Google. The company wants its gesture control system to become a priority for users, and it will be offered at startup of the system.
At the same time, Google itself indicates that manufacturers can further develop and implement a proprietary gesture system, but the user will not be able to use it by default. In addition, the Internet giant strongly recommends placing options for its work at a deep level in the settings menu. For example, you can hide this feature in the Advanced Settings section.
Also, manufacturers will not be able to advertise their own gesture navigation system using the "Setup Wizard or another method", including pop-ups or notifications.
