The whole press event came down to the fact that they again talked about the characteristics of the Exynos 980 chip. Recall that this is the first South Korean giant processor with an integrated 5G module, and it is also the first in the world to include high-performance Cortex-A77 cores. There are only two powerful cores and six Cortex-A55 cores with a clock frequency of 1.8 GHz are given to help them.
Exynos 980 was created using an 8-nanometer process technology and the Mali-G76 MP5 graphics accelerator is part of the chip. There is a neuroprocessor unit to accelerate operations related to artificial intelligence.
Pay special attention directly to the 5G modem, which supports dual-mode fifth-generation networks (SA / NSA) with peak data download speeds of up to 2.55 Gbit / s. E-UTRA-NR Dual Connectivity technology, combining 4G and 5G, allows you to increase the download speed of data up to 3.55 Gb / s.
Declared support for RAM LPDDR4X, flash modules eMMC 5.1 and UFS 2.1, systems of five cameras, including a 108 megapixel sensor.
